Welcome Home!

Welcome to the Otumoetai Church of Christ Website.

The Otumoetai Church of Christ is a family of young, old and in-betweens! It is a place where you can expect to find love, care, acceptance and support.

Being part of a family, church and wider community our desire is to help build stronger homes and lives that will, in turn, build stronger community and country.

Covid 19 Response

Update: 9 June 2020

As you most likely know New Zealand moved to Alert Level 1 at 11:59pm on Monday 8 June.

At Alert Level 1, in New Zealand we can now return without restriction to church, work, school, sports and domestic travel, and you can get together with as many people as you want.  This includes worship, t-group and any other gathering of Christians.  We can return to normal routines and uses of our building.

Please continue to pray for one another, wisdom for our Government, the safety of the nation and mercy for the whole world.

Online worship services:

If you are unwell please stay home.  Live streaming of the worship time will also be available so please join in that way.

Please visit the Otumoetai Church of Christ Facebook page for information about our online events.

What We Value…

“We value how Jesus displayed love, leadership, acceptance, and sacrifice throughout his earthly journey. We are compelled to live to the standard Jesus set and to let our lives reflect his story.”

“We value the men, women, and children who need to know Jesus Christ. We desire to share the Gospel and proactively show love and compassion to people in Tauranga, NZ and the World.”

“We value the way peoples’ lives are continually transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. God’s grace and mercy allows humanity to live forgiven, free and fearless lives within God’s intended plan for all people to be restored to Him.”

“We value our diverse community and relationships. We believe it’s essential to constantly reach for our full potential in Christ together through communal prayer, worship, studying scripture, and sharing our stories. We aspire to equip all ages to utilize their spiritual gifts to serve each other.”
